Your Impact
The Innovation & Learning Centers (ILCs) empower clients to transform operations through immersive workshops, digital innovations, and hands-on learning. As an ILC Research Scientist, you will design and maintain over 150 digital use cases across the operations value chain, collaborating with technology partners and a global network of peers.
You will work closely with the Operations practice, McKinsey Alliance Team, and external tech players to develop and showcase digital solutions. Your role involves building flagship assets, identifying new products, and ensuring seamless technology integration during client workshops. You will also develop skills in project management, client engagement, and product development, fostering collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
This position offers a hybrid work model, primarily based in Munich with extensive travel to client sites. It provides a unique chance to develop expertise in cutting-edge technologies, build sought-after skills, and deliver impactful operations solutions globally.
Your qualifications and skills
- University degree; advanced degree preferred
- Interest or background in manufacturing and operations
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for scaling technology
- Experience with hardware, software, data visualization, coding, or statistics is preferred
- Strong facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
- Ownership mentality to identify opportunities and overcome challenges
