We are seeking a Paper Machine Manager for our Port Alberni location. This is a full-time, permanent position.

1. Oversee all aspects of the Paper Machine (PM5) operations, including Safety, Environment, Quality, Production, and Costs.
2. Demonstrate safety leadership with a goal of zero injuries and environmental incidents, maintaining all ISO quality and environmental standards.
3. Report on KPIs and action plans monthly, and drive improvements through the HSPP business process (MBOS).
4. Manage the department to ensure safe, efficient operations at minimal cost.
5. Assist technical, sales, and marketing teams in planning paper product manufacturing.
6. Ensure all paper products meet grade specifications and customer requirements, maintaining high standards for products leaving the mill.
7. Direct, through Paper Mill Shift Supervisors, the continuous operation of the paper machine.
8. Review lost production incidents, complete reports, and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
9. Participate actively in mill safety programs, including the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC).
10. Propose and implement new methods, equipment, or techniques aligned with the latest developments.

Salary ranges from $135,000 to $150,000 (based on experience), plus pension and benefits.
