Our client is seeking a Senior Azure Solution Architectto design and implement robust, secure Azure landing zones and lead the modernization of VMware workloads.

Duration: 4 months

Work model: Fully remote across Canada

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecting & Designing: Develop scalable and secure Azure architectures tailored for VMware modernization and cloud-native workloads.
• Landing Zone Implementation: Design and build Azure landing zones aligned with best practices for multi-account environments, ensuring compliance and security.
• VMware Modernization: Lead modernization efforts for on-premises VMware environments using Azure VMware Solution (AVS) or Azure Native VMs.
• Cloud Migration: Oversee workload migrations using tools like Azure Migrate, conducting dependency mapping and implementing smooth transitions.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to Azure security policies, best practices, and industry standards for compliance.
• Automation & IaC: Employ Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform) to automate deployments and operations.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize cloud environments for cost-effectiveness, scalability, and performance using Azure governance frameworks.
• Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.

Must-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience withVMware modernization , including Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
• Extensive knowledge ofcloud migration tools (e.g., Azure Migrate) and best practices.
• Strong understanding ofAzure security frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
• Proficiency inInfrastructure-as-Code (IaC)tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
