Role : Accounting Analyst
CultureSmith has partnered with EDO Japan on their current search to add a new Accounting Analyst to the group. The Accounting Analyst reports into the Controller. This role will be a Remote based position that will be located in Calgary, AB. If preferred the Accounting Analyst can go into the office as well.
Established in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta, Edo Japan was designed to bring the freshness of hot Japanese Teppan-style cooking to suburban shopping centres and food courts across Canada. With 200 locations in Canada and chain sales over $200 million, the Japanese-inspired quick service restaurant continues to gain popularity across the country for its offering of the highest quality, freshly prepared, healthy and delicious meal options.

Overview :
The accounting and finance team supports the overall direction and strategy of Edo Japan. The strategy behind becoming a national leading brand in the QSR sector is to expand into new select markets and to grow market share in existing markets through innovative and economically viable changes to our offering.
This position is responsible for the review and preparation of timely and accurate financial information for review by the Controller and other team members. In addition to this, the role requires critical analysis of business processes with a keen focus on creating and improving efficiency in these processes.
