A leading engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training or Electrical Designer in Vancouver. Build the Future With Us – Join our dynamic Buildings team in Vancouver, where you’ll contribute to high‑performance electrical designs that power safer, more resilient, and sustainable spaces across Western Canada. From commercial towers to institutional facilities, your work will directly shape the built environment and improve how communities live, work, and thrive.
This role is ideal for an Electrical Engineer‑in‑Training or Electrical Designer ready to advance their technical expertise while collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.
Design electrical building systems that enhance safety, performance, and sustainability across commercial, institutional, and mixed‑use facilities.
Deliver power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and life‑safety system designs that support project success from concept through construction.
Apply energy‑efficient design principles that reduce environmental impact and support client sustainability goals.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—mechanical, structural, sustainability, and architecture—to develop integrated solutions.
Support the preparation of engineering drawings, technical reports, and specifications with accuracy and attention to detail.
Contribute to on‑site reviews, inspections, and construction support to ensure design intent is executed effectively.
You have hands‑on experience or co‑op/project exposure to electrical building systems—including lighting, power, and life‑safety design.
You bring familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software, and you’re eager to keep growing your technical stack.
You are comfortable supporting site reviews, coordinating with contractors, and understanding how systems come together in the field.
You hold (or are eligible for) EIT registration in British Columbia, or you have relevant design experience that demonstrates your capabilities.
You care deeply about shaping safer, more energy‑efficient buildings that benefit clients, communities, and the environment.

MB & ON: $67,000 – $92,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $66,300 – $88,000
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
