Hays Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Project Accounting Specialist to join their team on a contract basis, with the potential for conversion to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have experience in project accounting and a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements.

As a Project Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the monthly accounting and reporting cycle for residential condominium projects. This will include developing and maintaining accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, performing monthly bank and HST reconciliations, and ensuring timely submission of HST filings in accordance with CRA requirements.

• Manage the monthly accounting and reporting cycle for residential condominium projects
• Develop and maintain accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Perform monthly bank and HST reconciliations
• E nsure timely submission of HST filings in accordance with CRA requirements
• Liaise with cost consultants and lenders to ensure accurate completion of monthly project monitor reports and timely issuance of funding
• Monitor working capital balances and analyze project cost requirements to prepare funding schedules
• Review monthly construction progress billing packages to ensure accuracy and inclusion of required statutory documents
• Prepare year-end financial reports and schedules for external accountants
• Support internal teams with requested financial analysis

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in project accounting and a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for this role.

**Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum** (dependent on experience)
