A Canadian health supplement company is seeking a Head of Product and Industry Strategy to partner with the CEO and guide the company’s growth. This leadership role involves strategic advisory, product roadmap ownership, and marketing alignment to ensure product integrity and operational success. Candidates should have significant experience in regulated industries and be able to influence cross-functionally. The role includes a phased engagement leading to a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $145,000–$190,000 CAD.
Pure Lab Vitamins is a Canadian natural health company based in Ottawa, dedicated to developing and delivering high-quality, science-informed nutritional supplements that support foundational health and well-being. The company’s roots trace back to the insights of a compounding pharmacist who began formulating evidence-based supplements to address real patient needs, which laid the groundwork for a broader line of products that go beyond everyday vitamins.
Pure Lab Vitamins’ product portfolio includes a growing range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and specialized formulas designed to support everything from immune health and metabolic function to stress resilience and nutrient replenishment. All products are made in Canada under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, are Health Canada licensed, and undergo rigorous third-party testing to verify purity, potency, and consistency.
The brand is known for its commitment to clean formulations with minimal non-medicinal ingredients, transparent sourcing, and a focus on therapeutic value. Pure Lab’s products are sold through natural health retailers, clinics, and online channels across Canada, and are widely respected for their credibility among health professionals and consumers alike.
We are seeking a Head of Product and Industry Strategy to serve as a senior strategic partner to the CEO and a key architect of the company’s next phase of growth.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, industry expertise, and commercial enablement. The Head of Product and Industry Strategy translates the CEO's and Board's strategic intent into clear priorities, disciplined execution, and scalable systems—while ensuring the company’s product, formulation, education, and messaging remain credible, evidence-based, and aligned.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced industry professional who brings both deep domain credibility and the ability to build structure, cadence, and accountability across a growing organization.
This role is central to ensuring the company scales without losing credibility, coherence, or focus. Head of Product and Industry Strategy helps translate ambition into execution, connects product integrity to commercial success, and builds the systems required to support sustainable growth.
This role offers a target annual base salary range of $145,000–$190,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and scope. Compensation will be pro‑rated during the phased, part‑time portion of the role, with transition to full‑time compensation upon moving into the full‑time executive phase. Additional total rewards and benefits will be aligned with the full‑time role.
This role is designed as a phased engagement, giving both you and Pure Lab Vitamins the opportunity to build trust, clarity, and momentum before transitioning into a full‑time executive role.
You’ll spend time getting deeply familiar with the business—its products, operations, and people—while building strong relationships with the leadership team. Together, we’ll identify what’s working, where execution can improve, and align on priorities for the next quarter.
As your involvement increases, you’ll begin leading agreed‑upon initiatives, helping improve how the company plans, tracks progress, and executes across product, education, and marketing. You’ll also contribute to discussions around margin improvement and regional growth.
You’ll step into a full‑time executive role, owning the execution rhythm across key areas and helping drive long‑term growth, alignment, and operational discipline as a core member of the leadership team.
This phased approach is intentional—it enables a strong mutual fit and lays the foundation for long‑term success on both sides.
