We are seeking a Sales & Service Technician Apprentice for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 with a diploma in business admin; qualified verification officer preferred
- 3+ years’ work experience in FMCG with knowledge in retail scales and weights/measures
- Computer literacy: MS Office, as well as POS software
- Driver’s license and own vehicle
- Good communication skills, confident and friendly
- Clear criminal record and contactable references
- Willing to work overtime when required
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Updating relevant policies and procedures
- Sales of product offerings, including scales, automatic wrapping machines, printers, software, spares, and consumables
- Marketing the company’s products and services, including cold calling, visiting new customers, and giving demonstrations
- Maintaining existing customer relations
- Providing services to customers, including installations, verifications, servicing, repairs, deliveries, and customer training on all the company’s products
- Assisting with helpdesk support, stock counts, and office administration
- Assisting with debt collection, including cash collections and deposits
- Working standby weekends on a rotation basis
