Working within our IT Support team, the primary responsibility of this role is to provide helpdesk support to our local and global users. Maintain, build, and support our business cloud infrastructure and platforms. Including identity management, security and patching. You must have experience and knowledge in IT systems, network technologies, and server management. You must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

The focus areas of the role are supporting user hardware/systems and our cloud services with AWS, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Azure, InTune, Entra ID, user onboarding, security, compliance, and documentation.

• Degree/certificate in IT-related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in IT support.
• Tech savvy and good general IT literacy.
• Patience to work daily with a wide variety of users in technical support.
• Problem-solving skills (analyzing issues, determining root causes, determining sustainable solutions).
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for IT and technical topics.
• Able to follow written instructions and procedures.
• Experienced with MS Windows environments, Patch Management, MS Entra ID and InTune.
• Exposure to Google Workspace, AWS cloud architecture, NinjaOne RMM, Crowdstrike Falcon, Powershell and MS SQL maintenance will be favorable.
• Familiarity with ticket systems, desktop backoffice applications, MS Office, Google Docs and hardware/software asset management.

• Provide timely and efficient technical user and server support as needed.

• Manage various server aspects including Domain, MS Entra ID, AWS EC2 management.
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
• Support our key business productivity services within Google Workspace.
• Manage hardware and software licensing.
• Assist in system updates and patch remediation.

• Oversee configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of user workstations, software, and peripherals.

• Implement policies, procedures, and technologies, including firewalls, to ensure robust IT security.
• Prioritize and respond to help desk tickets.
• Collaborate with the Cape Town-based team, offering both remote and onsite support.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the office in Ndabeni, Cape Town.
