Based in the north of South Africa. Full-time position with occasional travel within the region. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract.
Position Overview
As Field Marketing Consultant, it will be your responsibility to oversee the day-to-day multi channel marketing activity for our global agricultural client across a region delivering marketing campaigns, reviewing performance and proactively providing insights into what’s working well and what isn’t.
We are looking for a Dealer Field Marketing Consultant to join our wider ITG team to support a busy and growing account. You will be responsible for all marketing account work, specifically email, SMS, social & WhatsApp channels as well as consulting with dealers in other areas of marketing. Your tasks will be to help dealers execute the quarterly marketing plans for each of the dealers in your designated area. The role carries the responsibility of customer service delivery, as well as operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Annual meeting to ensure the dealer understands the programme and their responsibilities and annual and quarterly aftersales marketing planning.
- Digital marketing assessments using desk research of digital channels along with a website report and recommended improvements.
South Africa
- Consult with dealers on identifying, developing and implementing local offers ensuring dealers follow the targeted communications process, as suitable for their business and in line with Business Plan targets and AGCO strategic initiatives to support dealers to increase their engagement and return on investing in aftersales marketing.
- Ongoing marketing consultation, including social media support and guidance, utilising a social organic calendar, and to work with the ITG central team and AGCO sales team on territory analysis and produce best practice reports to discuss with Dealers. Attend sales meetings when required and deliver presentations when requested.
- Create engaging material to educate dealers on effective Aftersales Marketing and train dealers, as required, using these and other materials, following a Training Needs Analysis, to support upskilling in aftersales marketing.
- Support dealers in the creation of their aftersales marketing materials for each campaign, for channels as relevant to the market utilising AGCO assets where available, and with experience of using InDesign software.
- Demonstrate expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as project briefs, timing plans, status reports, planning documents and contact reports.
- Working with the client and dealerships to define objectives and parameters of new aftersales projects.
- Keeping client informed of progress and forward any issues, maintain strong client communication Effectively report back to client on campaign and programme effectiveness.
- Relationship building with clients and the client area sales teams.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve processes to ensure efficient management and delivery of programmes.
- Manage multiple projects
- Act as key client advocate
- Interpret client needs to the dealer and ensure that these needs are executed by the dealer.
- Key KPIs to be delivered on a weekly basis to ensure incremental uptake increases.
- Deep understanding of the local market & competitive landscape of Aftersales.
- Research and provide insights to the clients, learning & utilising data resources available to them.
Qualifications
- You have a client-centric approach.
- You’ll hold experience within multi-channel marketing specifically social, email, SMS/WhatsApp.
- A minimum of 5-10 years marketing experience.
- You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills (must be fluent/native speaker) as well as English.
- You have a strong ability to multi-task, managing multiple, multi-phase projects at various stages.
- You hold meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to meet high standards for quality and accuracy.
- Your organisation and communication skills will be second-to-none and you’ll be a team player with a positive attitude.
- You’ll be flexible and able to work in a fast paced, hard working environment and demonstrate commitment to the role and to drive development.
- Experience within the automotive/agricultural industry is preferred but not essential.
- The role may involve some travel within your region.
