Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Security Specialist to join our Client's team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting the organization’s IT systems, applications, and data from security threats and breaches. This role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving information security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our digital assets in a global business environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development, implementation, and enhancement of Information Security Management policies and controls.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks related to enterprise systems, applications, data, and third-party vendors.
- Perform security threat modelling, risk assessments, and security control enhancement initiatives.
- Implement and manage security solutions including system hardening, mobile device management, antivirus, data loss prevention, SaaS security, and secure remote access.
- Ensure secure integration of SaaS and cloud-based solutions, including identity provider integrations.
- Monitor and govern systems, services, applications, and data using security tools.
- Conduct vulnerability scans, monitor security alerts, assess risks, and prioritize remediation activities.
- Track mitigation plans and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, reports, training materials, and user guides.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare security compliance and audit data.
- Act as a subject matter expert for new security tools, including evaluation, deployment, and control testing.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders, IT teams, architects, and business leaders.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to individuals and teams.
- Provide regular project updates to IT leadership and support the broader IT strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related.
- 5+ years experience in Cybersecurity
- Experience with security compliance policies, threat modelling, secure code review and risk analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft On-Premises and Cloud Technologies.
- Experience with Third-Party Risk Management and ISO Standards.
- Strong knowledge of Contemporary Privacy Regulations (GDPR, CCPA etc.)
