A vacancy exists for a Stock Controller at Life Westville Hospital, reporting to the Theatre Manager. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate administrative needs for the Manager and manage unit stock effectively.

Position: Stock Controller | Theatre

• Sound knowledge of consignment and loan stock processes
• Efficiently and timely complete theatre billing
• Investigate consignment stock variances
• Liaise with vendors to source consignment invoices
• Manage, control, and bill for consignment stock in collaboration with relevant representatives
• Perform secretarial duties as per job description
• Maintain good telephone etiquette
• Provide administrative support including ordering supplies and patient billing
• Work with high-value products with accuracy in billing
• Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel with tact and diplomacy
• Assess and manage multiple, competing work demands
• Maintain schedules and calendars; plan and organize meetings; coordinate external visitors

• Grade 12 qualification
• Hospital theatre stock control experience essential
• At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or stock controller role
• Experience with consignment stock, loan stock coordination, billing, and counts
• Ability to investigate stock variances
• Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, Microsoft Office)
• Knowledge of hospital systems (e.g., iMeds, Impilo, SAP) is advantageous
• Customer service experience
