The Sales & Applications Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the sale and Applications Support of company products within an assigned territory or geographic region. This position requires frequent travel and vendor credentialing.

1. Provides expertise and service to customers.
2. Gathers data on marketing trends, competitive products, and pricing.
3. Builds relationships with customers and influences the acceptance and use of Company products.
4. Identifies, profiles, and may service key accounts.
5. May participate in negotiation of contracts.
6. Designs and develops product specific training on various discipline specific equipment.
7. Delivers technical and customer training to internal and external customers on new and existing product technology.
8. Application support and troubleshooting to customers and engineers.
9. Identifies potential customers and visits laboratories and hospitals.
10. Manages logistics and ensures timely delivery to customers.
11. Negotiates with customers to agree on quotes and takes orders.
12. Handles site preparation and inventory management.
13. Attends exhibitions, conferences, and training.
14. Participates in customer meetings and follows up on customer survey reports.

Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences, Clinical Pathology, or equivalent qualification. Qualified Medical Technologist with a proven experience track record in Commercial Direct Sales and Application Support. 7 – 10 years' experience in a Corporate Sales environment, preferably in IVD/Medical Devices industry.

Experience in laboratory management and student training. Proven experience in the full training cycle i.e., needs analysis, curriculum design, training delivery, and evaluation. System Knowledge: Oracle, Business Objects, SFDC, and SharePoint. Strong analytical and Application troubleshooting skills.
