Job summary
A national logistics company is seeking a Logistics Operations General Manager in Cape Town to manage a major logistics hub. The role involves overseeing operations, improving efficiency, and ensuring financial accountability. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of senior management experience in logistics. Strong leadership and analytical skills are required to foster relationships with stakeholders and drive performance. This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-volume operation while delivering sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in a Senior Operations or General Management role within a large logistics organization.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and P&L ownership.
- Background in logistics, operations, or large-scale enterprise environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all logistics hub operations ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and the franchisor.
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with growth objectives.
- Recruit, onboard, lead, and motivate management and operational teams.
