A dynamic recruitment agency in Johannesburg is looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This exciting role combines hands-on accounting with strategic exposure, ideal for someone eager to learn and improve processes. Candidates should have a BCom in Accounting or equivalent, 2+ years of experience, and preferably experience in retail or fuel industries.
Qualifications
- Must be a South African citizen.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in finance or commercial environments.
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence required.

- Process and review daily financial transactions.
- Analyse data accuracy and ensure integrity of financial postings.
- Prepare and review management accounts and accruals.
- Reconcile creditors, debtors, and suspense accounts.
- Assist in internal financial reviews and process improvements.

A dynamic and fast-growing organisation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to join their finance team, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review daily financial transactions (Income Statement & Balance Sheet)
- Analyse data accuracy and ensure integrity of financial postings
- Prepare and review management accounts and accruals
- Reconcile creditors, debtors, and suspense accounts
- Load supplier and ad-hoc payments
- Assist in internal financial reviews and process improvements
Minimum Requirements:
- South African Citizen
- BCom in Accounting / Financial Management (or equivalent)
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a finance or commercial environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail
- Adaptable, quick learner, and deadline-driven
- Retail or fuel industry experience highly advantageous
- EasyAcc accounting software exposure highly advantageous
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence
