Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger and account balances
- Assist with all tax and statutory compliance
- Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Help prepare financial reports, statements, and analyses
- Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants
- Maintain asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Perform administrative support tasks
Requirements : Qualification :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with SAIPA / SAICA articles
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experience
Software :
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Acumatica, QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft) with Acumatica experience a massive advantage
- Strong understanding of South African tax laws and financial regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Attributes :
- Experience with inventory and job costing systems
- Understanding of international finance and multi-currency environments (for global firms)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
