General Manager – Sales & Operations (Departmental / Mini Mart Store)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
o Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to identify trends and opportunities.
o Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and improve overall store profitability.
o Initiate seasonal, weekend, and special event promotions to boost footfall and sales volume. o Drive upselling and cross-selling strategies to increase average transaction value.
2. Productivity & Store Performance
o Monitor and enhance daily sales productivity through staff engagement and effective floor management.
o Set clear performance goals and KPIs for sales and operational staff. o Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective measures when required.
3. Advertising, Promotions & Merchandising
o Conceptualize and execute attractive advertising and promotional campaigns both online and offline.
o Oversee in-store promotional displays, ensuring effective product visibility and customer engagement.
o Coordinate with the marketing team to develop flyers, banners, digital content, and promotional messaging.
4. Customer Experience & Community Engagement
o Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all touchpoints.
o Handle customer complaints and feedback with efficiency and professionalism.
o Represent the store at local community events and networking functions to build brand presence.
5. Inventory & Supply Chain Management
o Manage stock levels and maintain optimal inventory through effective forecasting and reordering strategies.
o Update stock quantity daily, and enforce stock rotation to minimize wastage and ensure freshness.
o Establish and maintain minimum order quantities (MOQ) to ensure item availability without overstocking.
o Collaborate with suppliers to procure grocery items such as rice, grains, dry fruits, dairy, and frozen products.
6. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
o Develop strong relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service quality.
o Evaluate supplier performance and explore alternate vendors to ensure cost efficiency and product quality.
7. Staff Management & Training
o Recruit, train, and mentor store staff to foster a productive and customer oriented team culture.
o Schedule staff shifts, assign responsibilities, and ensure compliance with operational protocols.
o Conduct regular training on product knowledge, sales techniques, inventory processes, and customer service.
8. Operational Excellence & Compliance
o Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
o Maintain compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and labor regulations.
o Ensure timely execution of store duties and adherence to corporate guidelines and standards.
9. Technology & Reporting
o Utilize POS systems and inventory management system to monitor sales, stock levels, and operational metrics.
o Generate actionable reports for management and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Cost Control & Budgeting
o Monitor operating expenses and implement cost-saving measures to maintain budget efficiency.
o Optimize resource allocation and manage store utilities, waste, and shrinkage.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Super Market / Departmental Store Sales & Management experience
• Experience in developing and executing sales strategies
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must be a responsible team player, punctual, and reliable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $7,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month
Education: • Bachelor's or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience: • Retail Sales Minimum 8-12 Years (Preferred)
