Job Description & Requirements

Oversee the operations of the Centre and ensure that the daily routines and programmes are carried out smoothly.

Together with management team, provide leadership to teachers in quality early childhood curriculum design, development and implementation of teaching.

Support the team and grow them through effective leadership.

Establish and maintain positive and effective communication with parents and the school community.

Organize events such as excursions, workshops, open house, concerts, etc.

Ensure the centre's environment and hygiene are of the satisfying standards.

Diploma in Pre-school Education Leadership (DPE-L) / Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education - Leadership (DECCE-L) / Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent recognised by ECDA.

Have been registered with ECDA and attained a L2 certification.

Able to communicate in Mandarin (in order to communicate with Mandarin speaking teachers and parents).

At least 3 years working experience in a pre-school with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Job Scope
  • Prepare, plan and conduct age-appropriate lessons to engage, nurture and motivate children in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver programs that facilitate active learning experiences both within and outside the classroom.
  • Monitor progress of children and complete progress reports and prepare developmental portfolios for each child.
  • Prepare age-appropriate teaching aids and use them in the implementation of the programs.
  • Establish effective classroom management.
  • Set up and maintain a safe, clean and conducive environment for learning.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with parents for the children’s development.
  • Perform routine care and ensure the safety and hygiene of the children.
Job Requirements
  • Be good at art, craft creations and singing/dancing.
  • Experienced in learning activities design and centre environment decoration.
  • Enjoy working with children, and passionate in educating young children.
  • Creative, energetic and dynamic.
  • Strong command of the English and Chinese language.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible and able to offer help when needed.
Education & Experience
  • Having a bachelor’s degree or above in Early Childhood Education from a university recognized by Singapore Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
  • Be qualified to get ACEY/L1/L2 Teacher Certification issued by ECDA.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in childcare centre/preschool.
  • Preference given to candidates with related work experiences in Singapore.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, electronic devices, multimedia producing software, and trending social media apps.
