Job Summary
The Reliability and Improvement Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of equipment and systems by implementing reliability-focused maintenance strategies. This role involves analyzing equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement, and executing corrective and preventive measures to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Reliability Maintenance
- Perform reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) to optimize equipment performance.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify recurring issues.
- Implement corrective actions to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and propose process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in the development and execution of maintenance improvement projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean maintenance practices.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Utilize predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic testing.
- Monitor equipment health and recommend timely interventions.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management
- Ensure critical spare parts are available to support reliability initiatives.
- Assist in evaluating the condition of spare parts and recommending replacements.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
- Participate in safety audits and recommend reliability improvements to enhance workplace safety.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and reliability analysis tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data analysis for equipment reliability.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
