Job summary
A leading company in the chemicals industry is seeking an Electrical Technician in Kulai, Johor. The role entails assembling and maintaining electrical equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safety standards are upheld. Ideal candidates possess electrical certifications and have relevant troubleshooting experience or are fresh graduates with a background in PLC studies.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in electrical or electronic troubleshooting.
- Fresh graduates with PLC study background are welcome.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment.
- Conduct maintenance checklists and plant maintenance.

- Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly maintenance checklists.
- Conduct monthly plant maintenance.
- Maintain the maintenance workshop and uphold 5S standards.
- Main Tasks
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physically inspect all machines and forklifts for all Sika equipment.
- Operate power tools, soldering equipment, and faulty-testing devices.
- Carry out basic plant repairs and maintenance under supervision.
- Maintain 5S housekeeping, machine safety locks, and daily checks.
- Perform maintenance on power rooms and switchboards.
- Preferably possess at least an electronic and electrical certificate or higher, with PLC training.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills in English or Bahasa Malaysia.
- At least 1 year of experience in electrical or electronic troubleshooting, especially on PLC S7 programs (more advantageous), or be a fresh graduate with PLC study background.
