Job summary
A well-known pastry cafe in Johor Bahru is hiring a Branch Manager. We are representing one of a well known Pastry Cafe and as they are expanding, they are looking for Branch Manager to be based in JB.
Job Description:
- Recruiting, interviewing and training staff to follow restaurant procedures
- Greeting and advising customers
- Maintaining safety and food quality standards
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation
- Promoting and marketing the business.
- Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives.
- Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports.
- Keeping statistical and financial records.
- Assessing and improving profitability
- Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant
- Keeping customers happy, getting their feedback on the experience and handling complaints
- Organizing schedules, keeping track of employees hours and recording payroll data
- Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
- Supervising daily shift operations, including front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
- Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
- Appraising staff performance and disciplining or retraining employees to correct poor performance
Job Requirements:
- a diploma/bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or any related field.
- Must have at least 5 years experience as assistant manager or restaurant manager.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have experience running at least a 60-seat restaurant.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of industry and market trends.
- Willing to work on weekends and rotation shift
