A leading company in ICT is seeking a QC Engineer to ensure quality assurance and compliance for ICT components. The role involves conducting inspections, validating configurations, and preparing documentation for project support. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and 3–5 years of quality control experience in ICT, along with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control
• Perform inspections and quality checks on ICT components, including servers, switches, racks, cabling, wireless APs, and related infrastructure.
• Validate network and system configurations (e.g., IP addressing, VLAN, cabling, rack layouts) against approved designs.
• Conduct and document FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and UAT (User Acceptance Test).
• Review installation workmanship according to standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, local SIRIM/SKMM compliance).
Audit & Compliance
• Ensure project implementation meets customer requirements, technical specifications, and local regulatory standards.
• Identify, document, and escalate non-conformance (NCR) and assist in corrective/preventive action (CAPA) follow-up.
• Conduct internal and vendor quality audits during different project stages (pre-installation, in-progress, post-installation).
Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare and maintain quality inspection reports, punch lists, test forms, and compliance checklists.
• Verify vendor as-built documentation, test results, and commissioning certificates.
• Maintain up-to-date QC records for handover and audit purposes.
Project Support
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Integration Leads to align QC activities with project timelines.
• Attend site meetings and provide QC status updates.
• Support site readiness for client inspection and handover acceptance.
Requirements:
Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications in quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, Six Sigma) or vendor-specific certifications (Cisco, HP, Huawei) are a plus.
Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years of experience in ICT or ELV quality control, site commissioning, or testing.
• Familiarity with data center and enterprise ICT infrastructure standards.
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling inspection, network/switch configuration validation, and system integration testing.
• Proficient with documentation and tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and AutoCAD/Visio for markup reviews.
