Financial Strategy Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth and international expansion plans.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial modelling.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board.
Financial Operations & Controls
- Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and regulatory compliance.
- Strengthen internal controls aligned with local and international best practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (IFRS/GAAP).
- Drive cost optimisation and improve operational efficiency.
Manufacturing Finance & Cost Management
- Lead costing, BOM review, inventory management, WIP control, and production variance analysis.
- Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement to improve plant cost efficiency.
- Evaluate CAPEX projects, conduct ROI analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage financial coordination for joint ventures, international partners, and overseas-related projects.
- Handle cross-border financial matters such as transfer pricing, FX exposures, and consolidation.
- Support governance and audit requirements involving international stakeholders.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Provide financial insights to support expansion plans, joint ventures, partnerships, and risk management.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, including ERP enhancements and data-driven decision-making.
- Represent Finance in executive-level discussions and business reviews.
- Conduct financial due diligence, valuation, feasibility studies and deal structuring.
- Coordinate with investment bankers, legal advisers, and regulatory parties.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and costing functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen the finance team’s capabilities to support future international growth.
Tax Management
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws (LHDN) and manage tax planning strategies.
- Oversee SST/GST-related matters depending on requirements.
- Liaise with tax agents and advisors.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Oversee enterprise risk management (ERM) and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Work with Audit Committee and Risk Committee on governance matters.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or CMA are highly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 12–18 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- At least 8 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics, industrial, or automotive.
- Proven experience in cross-national business environments, including joint ventures, international partnerships, or multi-country coordination.
- Strong background in financial planning, manufacturing costing, and business expansion support.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, taxation, treasury, and corporate governance.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing finance: costing, WIP, inventory management, BOM analysis.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to work with local and overseas stakeholders.
- High integrity, analytical mindset, and strong business acumen.
- Ability to navigate complex, evolving environments and support international growth.
