Job summary

Candidates should possess a Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Nursing, be registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board, and have 1-2 years of OT experience. Valid BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with Malaysian Nursing Board and valid Annual Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 1-2 years OT experience, preferably in Gastroenterology or ENT.
• Able to work in a high-volume ambulatory care environment.

We are looking for a committed Staff Nurse (Operating Theatre) to support day surgery procedures within our Ambulatory Care Centre, with a primary focus on Gastroenterology and ENT cases. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and patient‑centred perioperative care in a fast‑paced ambulatory setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for Gastroenterology and ENT day‑surgery cases within the Ambulatory Care Centre.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties, including preparation of theatre/endoscopy rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures while ensuring patient safety and smooth case flow.
• Maintain strict compliance with aseptic techniques, infection control, and OT safety protocols.
• Complete accurate nursing documentation and coordinate with recovery and clinic teams to support same‑day discharge.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse with Malaysian Nursing Board (LJM) and valid Annual Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 1–2 years OT experience, preferably in Gastroenterology, ENT, or day surgery setting.
• Experience in endoscopy nursing is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates with relevant clinical exposure may be considered.
• Valid BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Able to work efficiently in a high‑volume ambulatory care environment.
