Ward Nurse

Ward Nurse provides comprehensive, direct care to patients in hospital settings, managing daily needs, administering treatments, and monitoring conditions to ensure safety and recovery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Patient Assessment & Care: Monitor vital signs, assess conditions, and update care plans based on patient progress.
• Clinical Procedures: Administer medications, perform wound care, insert IVs, and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient records and reports in line with professional standards and organizational guidelines.
• Coordination & Communication: Act as a liaison between doctors, specialists, patients, and families.
• Ward Management: Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Emergency Response: Promptly respond to emergencies and changes in patient status.
• Mentorship: Supervise junior staff, healthcare assistants, and nursing students.
