Data Center Electrical Shift Engineer - Critical Systems
Job summary
A leading hyperscale data infrastructure company in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking to hire an engineer to lead shift operations in its data center. Responsibilities include ensuring 100% uptime, conducting inspections, managing emergencies, and maintaining compliance with safety protocols. Ideal candidates should have a Professional Engineering Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical fields, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in technical systems including HVAC and electrical systems. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage incident responses.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Data Centre environment or Hi-tech factory.
- Valid Electrical switching certificate and/or license (Chargeman) for LV/HT is preferred.
- Strong ability to write and review detailed work scripts and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead shift operations and maintenance work in the data center.
- Conduct hands-on inspections of critical facilities systems and equipment.
- Oversee Change Control Application Process for safe equipment operation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines regarding infrastructure.
