Facility Lead – Data Center Operations
Our client, a leading data center operator in APAC, is seeking a Facility Lead to oversee the operations and maintenance of their advanced data center in Johor. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and safety across the facility.
The Facility Lead will manage day-to-day operations, lead preventive maintenance programs, and ensure adherence to ISO standards and health and safety requirements. You will act as the primary point of contact for security, IT asset management, and environmental audits, while driving continuous improvement in facility processes.
- Oversee compliance with ISO certifications and information security standards
- Manage health and safety programs and training across the site
- Coordinate environmental sustainability initiatives and audits
- Supervise IT procurement, licensing, and asset lifecycle management
- Control operations budgets, billing, and financial processes
- Lead planned preventative maintenance and manage CAFM systems
- Act as point of contact for physical security and vendor coordination
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and recommend process improvements
- Support CSR projects and internal/external training schedules
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or IT
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in data center operations
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO27001 is a must, ISO45001, ISO14001 are better to have); SOC 2 Type 2 is an advantage
- Understanding of EHS requirements and IT security/networking
- Excellent organizational, planning, and document control skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
