A leading construction firm in Johor Bahru is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to monitor and implement safety management systems. The role demands compliance with statutory requirements, the ability to conduct audits, and liaising with government authorities. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or degree in Occupational Safety and Health, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and be a registered Safety & Health Officer. Monitor and implement the company's safety management system to ensure compliance with the relevant statutory requirements and continuously improve the safety management system by conducting internal audits, awareness briefings, trainings and induction programs.
Responsible to ensure the applicable procedures and practices in accordance to the safety and health and environmental statutory acts/regulations.
Identify potential hazards, access the risks in company's premises and determining necessary control measures to assure employees safety.
To create a safety and health report that including recommend action plan to existing infrastructure, working procedure and practice for further improvement.
Liaise with government authorities such as DOSH, BOMBA, DOE & others on matters concerning with safety and health issues and ensure all report are submitted on time.
Undertakes project work or assignment or ad hoc job-related matters or any other duties as and when assigned/requested by the management from time to time.
