Job summary
A leading finance company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to handle full accounts and prepare financial statements. Candidates must have a degree in Accounting or Finance and proficiency in SQL Accounting Software. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and statutory bodies.

- Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of monthly accounts.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and statutory bodies.
- Manage cash flow and monitor company expenditure.
- Assist in the preparation of tax computation, SST submission, and statutory filings.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems.
- Review and monitor staff claims and petty cash disbursements.
- Support project costing and ensure alignment with client budgets and internal targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant laws.
- Utilize the SQL Accounting System efficiently for financial data entry and reporting.
- Assist the Finance Manager in ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.)
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a fast-paced or agency environment.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax, and SST.
- Proficient in SQL Accounting Software (mandatory).
- Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
