Job summary
A manufacturing firm in Penang is seeking an experienced Automotion Engineer to oversee the design and development of automation projects. The ideal candidate must have over 5 years of experience in injection molding processes and hold a Bachelor's degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering. Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, performing robotic programming, and ensuring maintenance of automated machines. Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience in injection molding processing.
- Understanding of injection molding process, machines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO standards is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and justify new projects for automation.
- Lead design and development of automation machines.
- Perform robotic programming and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with vendors for new jigs and machines.
- Monitor preventive maintenance for machines.
- Communicate effectively across departments.
- Improve technical skills of Process Technicians.
