UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Functionally reports to the Service Build Engineering Lead under Group Infrastructure Platform Services, the Build engineer will be responsible for detail design, build, post provision support and continuously optimize and automate the end-to-end build and provisioning process in accordance to the bank standard. This role will support and collaborate with Design, planning, solution architect, application and Development teams on infra build requirements, standards and the use, optimization and troubleshooting of all features in Oracle, SQL and Maria database & its tools.

This role will participate in technical discussions to share ideas and provide feedback in continuing the improvement of the Service Build Engineering team in areas such as Optimization, automation, cost savings, technology adoption & operational efficiency.

Candidates are expected to:

1. Support and maintain the DevOps pipeline for Trade and its corresponding modules.
2. Fine tune the performance issues related to Trade deployment pipeline.
3. The current CICD pipeline need to be further automated to minimise the manual interaction.
4. Work with Trade application to setup new DevOps pipeline for T3 release by adhering to central DevOps framework.
5. Lead analysis and resolution of root cause for DevOps automation related issues.
6. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
7. Stays current with industry trends and leads development of key DevOps, Runtime, and Operational innovation platforms.

The candidate must have 6-9 years working experience in the following areas:

• Well versed in working on Unix/Windows platform
• Unix Shell Scripting
• Windows Batch Scripting
• Familiar with system and database backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures
• Experience in software installation on servers and documentation of installation steps
• Able to document the technical architecture using servers and network diagrams
• Clear understanding of the Development/SIT/UAT/Production environment requirements
• Troubleshooting of network related problems
• Understand the concept of web based application’s 3 tiers architecture
• Understand the concept of JVM

Candidate with the following knowledge will be preferred:

• Unix/Windows servers administration
• Excellent knowledge of MS SQL-Server / Oracle
• Experience in working on WebLogic / WebSphere / MQ / Control-M / IIS
• Aldon or similar configuration management tool
• Degree from an accredited college / university
• Relevant certifications
• Excellent communication and inter personal skills
