Education
As the Product Development Manager - Insurance at Hong Leong Assurance Berhad, you will be responsible for developing innovative insurance products to meet the evolving needs of our customers. This is a full-time position based in Selangor, and you will play a key strategic role in driving the company's growth and expansion within the insurance industry.
Led the design and development of new innovative life insurance products and enhance existing products with effective product positioning.
Serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned life insurance product that includes broad and some advanced knowledge of competitors’ products features, benefits, pricing, etc. and their relative positioning in the marketplace.
Research, gather data and insights and conduct analysis.
Collaborate with the Pricing and Sales Distribution team.
Identify and resolve issues that has impact on products.
Manage the product implementation and ensure timeliness of product launch.
Establish and enhance product development process.
Collaborate with Strategic Marketing team to ensure that product literature is effective in targeting the market segment.
Review product training materials and Train the Trainers (TTT) to ensure accuracy of the technical parts.
Ensure compliance to policies, guidelines and regulations.
Relevant degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in product development or management within the insurance industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of developing and launching successful insurance products.
Detailed knowledge of insurance regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
