Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a development team of team leads, system analysts, and software engineers to deliver the application as per the project schedule.
- Collaborate with business analysts to manage requirements.
- Assign tasks to team members and resolve issues.
- Assist team members and perform technical analysis when necessary to ensure on‑time delivery of a high‑quality product.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports; assist with legal paperwork such as contracts and terms of agreement if required.
- Coach, motivate, and engage team members to ensure work is performed in accordance with established software development policies, procedures, and standards.
- Identify areas of improvement for the team and strive to effect change.
- Demonstrate competence in project management throughout the software development life cycle.
- Anticipate and manage change in a highly dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least a bachelor's, professional, or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunications), or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of working experience in the related field.
- Experience in software development life cycle, analysis, and system design.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with project management and leadership skills.
- Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to multitask and support others during ad‑hoc projects or tasks when required.
- Past experience managing multi‑million government projects.
- Analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Formal project management training or certification (PMP, Agile, etc.).
