Job summary

A regional technology company in Selangor is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Data Management team. This role focuses on developing ETL solutions and optimizing data integration processes for numerous large FMCG companies across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, at least one year of relevant experience, and knowledge of ETL tools, relational databases, and programming languages like Java. Strong communication skills in English are essential.

B2B Commerce is looking for Software Engineer to join our Data Management team. Currently our Data Management team is handling data integration for more than 100 large FMCG companies throughout the Southeast Asia Region. The Data Management team also handles all data routing and transformation within the B2B Commerce group of companies as well as a key data provider for our Business Intelligence cloud solution.

We develop all our application in-house using Phyton, Java, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and ETL tools. The applications that we developed are used in six countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and China) and we constantly innovate and enhance our in-house product.

Job Responsibilities

• To attend the weekly meetings set by the immediate supervisor
• Assist in designing, developing and implementing ETL solutions
• Develop technical specifications and design documents for ETL solutions
• Automate business processes using the ETL technology ranging from Simple to Medium Complex processes
• Participate in development of ETL flows
• Perform system testing and documentation whenever necessary
• Maintain and support project post-implementation activities
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned work
• Any other tasks which may be assigned by the Management

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of hand-on experience in ETL platform and open source technologies
• Good understanding of ETL tools and technologies
• Knowledge in Pentaho Data Integration and selenium have an added advantage
• Excellent knowledge in relational databases
• Knowledge in Java/JSON/XML/REST/SOAP/Web Services would be added advantages
• Strong interpersonal skills with good command of English – both written and oral
