Job description
Overview

Monitors and analyzes technology risk trends and advises IT and business management regarding appropriate IT policies, procedures, and practices with the goal of safeguarding information assets, strengthening internal operations, and achieving strategic objectives.

Implements and oversees processes, programs, and tools to support information assurance, regulatory compliance, internal control, governance, and risk management activities.

Promotes culture of risk and control awareness across the firm.

Advises IT and business executives on the status of technology risk concerns per assessment results.

Accountabilities
  • Coordinate with respective unit of ITD to resolve the issues highlighted.
  • Monitor and track the rectification progress.
  • Recommend the resolution to close the gaps.
  • Perform review & assessment to prevent gaps from recurring.
  • Perform review & assessment to ensure compliance.
  • Consistently update the internal policy in line with new guideline issued by regulator.
  • Serve as a permanent member of Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  • Review, validate and approve the deployment of system to production which requires full compliance to CAB checklist.
  • Implement and ensure compliance to testing governance framework.
  • Monitor and track the implementation/enforcement of critical IT security operations using tools and via ad-hoc review.
  • Develop Disaster Recovery plan and perform annual testing.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and relevant industry experience.

Experience

  • 10 years experience in IT Portfolio management in multiple IT programs or system implementations.
  • Experience in Process and application development.
  • Demonstrated decision making and leadership skills managing teams.
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office, MS Projects, Visio).
  • Has worked in cross functional team.
  • Expected to have excellent time management skills.
  • Expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management, clients, and other departments.
  • Self-starter, able to work under own initiative.
  • Highly organized, highly numerate.
  • Visual thinker – will maintain roadmaps and summarize complex information for senior audiences.
  • Able to deal with ambiguity, understand stakeholders’ requirements and develop appropriate material. Credible with senior stakeholders.

This position requires very minimal supervision from senior management staff and is expected to perform completely independent using a high level of decision making on a regular basis.
