• Support the finance team via active involvement in financial operations, particularly in the General Ledger function.
• Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions, including monitoring incoming and outgoing funds and maintaining accurate purchase, marketing, and accounting records.
• Perform checks on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Book, and post General Journal transactions into the accounting system.
• Ensure sufficient funds in bank accounts, perform fund transfers, and manage surplus funds for interest gains, liaising with relevant parties for fund placement.
• Coordinate all accounting activities to ensure timely month-end procedures and produce management accounts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts post month-end closing for managerial review.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare tax computations when necessary.
• Arrange and coordinate annual Fixed Asset Sightings with respective departments.
• Liaise with auditors and other relevant parties regarding finance matters.
• Ensure proper documentation and safekeeping of departmental materials.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by reporting managers.
