Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager, Ocean Freight to lead and oversee our ocean freight import and export operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, managing diverse teams, and supporting the company’s growth in freight forwarding services. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping future business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end ocean freight operations (import/export) with a hands-on, customer-focused approach.
• Oversee and mentor a diverse team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and talent development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, airfreight, customs clearance, and other departments to ensure seamless logistics solutions.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and internal SOPs.
• Drive process improvements and cost-efficiency across operations.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors to enhance service quality.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, and profitability of the ocean freight division.
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute to business growth initiatives.
  

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
  
• Minimum 5 years in ocean freight operations.
  
• Experience in managing larger and diverse teams is essential
• Proven experience managing larger and diverse operational teams.
  
• Has previous/current experience leadingin mid-sized logistics companies or global firms, with readiness for an elevated role.
  
• Exposure to airfreight and customs clearance is an advantage.
