Robert Bosch Group is offering an internship opportunity for Industrial Trainees within their Lean Function. In this role, you will support various engineering tasks, including data collection, process analysis, and lean project preparations. Ideal candidates are university students in relevant engineering disciplines, available for a 4-6 month term starting January.
Robert Bosch (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd & Robert Bosch (Penang) Sdn Bhd is part of the Automotive Electronics business division within the Automotive Technology business sector of the Bosch Group. Our plant in Penang develops and manufactures products such as car radios, integrated head units, central displays, navigation systems, electronic components, and actuator motors for OEMs worldwide. Incorporated with 100% German ownership, we are one of the eight pioneering companies that started operation in the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone in 1972.
Responsibilities include process confirmation & data collection for standard work sheets, preliminary comparison of actual time study data vs. standard time, data collection and analysis for new models, waste and ergonomic studies, and supporting lean topics such as CIP project preparation, waste walk, workshop setup, VSM/VSD drafting, PGL workshop support, layout updates, and project follow-ups.
Applicants should be current university students studying Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, be proactive, and available for a 4-6 month internship from January 22 to June 22.
