Job summary

A leading automotive company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Quality Inspector to ensure compliance with quality standards during Pre-Delivery Inspections. The role involves coordinating inspections, documenting quality defects, and maintaining compliance in logistics. Candidates should have at least 3 years of automotive QC experience and strong communication skills to liaise with various departments. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) according to company SOP.
  • Document and escalate quality issues, coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Monitor quality defect claims and initiate cost improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and guide service provider Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) according to company SOP and checklist.
  • Identify, document (SOP), and escalate quality defects/issues, and coordinate rework or repair with relevant parties.
  • Verify inspection results, endorse PDI reports, and ensure timely rectification of non-conformances.
  • Act as the liaison for CBU & CKD cars, and dealer representatives for issue resolution and updates.
  • Provide timely communication and reporting to internal stakeholders on quality performance and defect resolution progress.
  • Monitor on quality defects claim process & cost cutting improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular monitoring on stockyard housekeeping and process compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, & inspection logs on quality related matters.
  • Other task/responsibilities/reporting related to logistics matters.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive in area of quality inspection/quality control, preferably in logistics, stockyard & PDI management.
  • Strong background in automotive QC/QA with exposure to visual inspection, functional checks, and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills for coordination with multiple departments (OEM, assembler, logistics, stockyard ops).
