Job summary
A financial services firm in Kuala Selangor is seeking a candidate to assist in audit engagements. The ideal applicant should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Finance and a professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. - Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent is required.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the conduct of an audit engagement under supervision.
- Complete allocated tasks that meet reporting and auditing standards.
- Assist with preparation or review of financial statements.

Education
Candidate must possess a full or partial professional qualification (ACCA, PA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent), Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/ Finance or equivalent.
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia, is an absolute must (Additional languages and dialects are an added advantage).
The candidate must be a team player, but also able to work alone and be a self starter with a flexible and proactive approach coupled with an ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
The candidate must have good communication and interpersonal skills and is able to display self-initiative and lateral thinking.

- Assists in the conduct of an audit engagement under supervision and may be responsible for undertaking small non-complex audits which will involve pre-audit scoping and preparation, identifying audit risks and performing preliminary evaluation of client’s internal control structure to identify weaknesses and areas for management consideration and improvement.
- Assists with audit planning procedures including audit tests using the Firm audit methodology and identifying key matters.
- Completes allocated tasks to a high standard which meet set reporting and auditing standards.
- Assists with preparation of the simpler financial statements, or reviews client-prepared financial statement and other management reports to develop understanding and increase knowledge of various entities and accounting issues.
- Acts as an ambassador of the Firm, building relationships and promoting the Firm at every opportunity to facilitate new business opportunities.
