Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a Biology Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This role is suitable for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong Biology subject knowledge.
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Biology lessons, including practical experiments and theoretical learning.
- Provide effective classroom cover when required.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Maintain strong behaviour management and a safe, positive learning environment.
- Support students in developing scientific enquiry, analytical thinking, and practical laboratory skills.
- Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience in Biology (teachers, cover supervisors, or TA cover).
- Confident teaching Biology across KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education.
- Reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
