Business Studies Teacher – Secondary (Middlesbrough)

Location: Middlesbrough
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Supply / Long-term
Start Date: ASAP

Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a Business Studies Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This role is suitable for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong Business Studies subject knowledge.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Business Studies lessons, covering key topics such as enterprise, finance, marketing, and economics.
• Provide effective classroom cover when required.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain strong behaviour management and a positive learning environment.
• Support students in developing analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience in Business Studies (teachers, cover supervisors, or TA cover).
• Confident teaching Business Studies across KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to link learning to real‑world business contexts.
• Reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
