Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and engaging Secondary English Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in the Southampton area, starting 13th April, immediately after the Easter break. The school is looking for a qualified English specialist who can confidently deliver lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils and take on full teacher responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessments, and classroom management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Teacher or a strong ECT ready to step into a well-supported and forward-thinking English department. The successful candidate will be taken on a temp-perm basis.
- Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons

- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support learners of all abilities

- Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire engagement
- Skilled in planning, delivering, and assessing well-structured lessons
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Reliable, organised, and committed to high standards
- Position: Secondary English Teacher
- Location: Southampton
- Start Date: 13th April (after Easter)
- Pay: Up to £261 per day
- Contract Type: Temporary / ongoing
- Hours: Full-time
- Responsibilities: Full teacher duties, including planning and marking
