Location: Harrow, London

Salary: Pay to scale (depending on experience)

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils across KS1 and KS2 with SEMH and ASD needs.
  • Support learning and behaviour under the guidance of the Class Teacher.
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement.
  • Help pupils achieve their academic, social, and personal development targets.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Person Specification:

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least one year’s experience working with children (ideally within an educational setting).
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with SEMH and ASD needs.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • An NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
