A Cornwall-based accountancy firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio and lead a team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in public practice, be ACA/ACCA qualified, and possess strong technical skills. Responsibilities include accounts preparation, client liaison, and team management.

Education
The chosen candidate will join an experienced Cornwall-based accountancy firm that specializes in providing bespoke accountancy, business, and financial advice tailored to each client.
With a diverse client base ranging from long-established PLCs, start-up businesses, to sole traders, the ideal Senior Accountant will manage a substantial client portfolio and lead a growing team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
The Senior Accountant will perform a wide range of accounting duties, including:
- Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, LLPs, and Charities
- Reviewing the work of junior team members
- Liaising directly with clients
- Tax computations
- Assisting in workflow planning and management
- Ad-hoc duties such as budgeting, forecasting, and due diligence
Reporting to and working alongside the Senior Partners, the successful candidate will have several years of experience in general accountancy within a public practice. They should be ACA/ACCA part-qualified or fully qualified, with excellent technical and organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example.
