Rate: £450 per day
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager on a contract basis to oversee the delivery of electrical installation projects within the utilities sector, including water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands‑on contractor who can manage multiple stakeholders, ensure high‑quality delivery, and meet strict timelines.
- Lead and manage electrical installation projects from planning, design, and procurement through to construction, testing, and handover.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources, implementing risk mitigation where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and reporting.
- Support project close‑out, documentation, and lessons‑learned processes.
- Proven experience managing electrical installation projects in the utilities or infrastructure sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installation standards.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple contractors and site‑based teams.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline preferred.
- Project Management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) advantageous.
- Contract-based engagement with exposure to high‑profile infrastructure projects.
