A social care organization in Newport is seeking a passionate Deputy Manager to help launch a new children’s residential home. The role involves working closely with the Registered Manager, ensuring high standards of care and compliance. You will support young people with complex needs, including Autism and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties, within a nurturing environment. This full-time role offers a salary of up to £33,000 per annum plus bonus and requires experience in health and social care management.

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum + bonus

We’re recruiting an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to help launch a brand-new children’s residential home in Newport. This is a unique leadership role where you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to set up and run the service, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and team performance.
You’ll be supporting young people with complex needs, including Autism and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), within a trauma-informed, child-centred environment.
- Supporting the Registered Manager in line with RISCA and safeguarding standards
- Managing staff supervision, mentoring, and development
- Overseeing care planning, behaviour support, and risk management
- Promoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
