Job Description
Do you want to join the LEGO Group as we build a technology powerhouse to support our global ecommerce platform?
With millions of weekly users looking to immerse themselves in our iconic brand, we are looking for software engineers to help us deliver a next‑gen digital retail experience.
Our engineers work in interdisciplinary squads each arranged around clear product goals with responsibility for delivery of their own product roadmaps. Our teams are encouraged to work 3 days per week in the office. You will act as a member on a team of 5~7 other specialists:
We have established a modern front‑end architecture utilising Next.js, React, and GraphQL, alongside a cloud‑native AWS serverless back‑end. Our engineers leverage this platform to architect, develop, and handle our shopper technology infrastructure, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and efficient.
Commercial experience building microservices - our event‑based services layer utilises Node.js and the Serverless Framework and is built mainly on the AWS Serverless stack – Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Kinesis and DynamoDB to name a few.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) processes and tooling to streamline and automate the software release cycle, ensuring rapid and reliable deployment of changes.
Experience with Terraform, AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), or similar IaC tools to handle and provision infrastructure through code is helpful.
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering concepts including monitoring, observability, automation, and release engineering to create reliable and maintainable systems.
Must be attentive to detail, flexible and able to work concurrently on multiple projects.
Ability to solve, research, and work through complex problems.
Strong communication skills to convey technical improvements and articulate the value of infrastructure enhancements to other engineers and collaborators.
Family Care Leave – We offer enhanced paid leave options for those important times.
Insurances – All colleagues are covered by our life and disability insurance which provides protection and peace of mind.
Wellness – We want you to be your best self, so you'll have access to the Headspace App and lots of wellbeing initiatives and programmes run by local teams where you are based.
Colleague Discount – We know you'll love to build so from day 1 you will qualify for our generous colleague discount.
Bonus – We do our best work to succeed together. When goals are reached and if eligible, you'll be rewarded through our bonus scheme.
Your workplace – When you join the team you’ll be assigned a primary workplace location i.e. one of our Offices, stores or factories. Our hybrid work policy means an average of 3 days per week in the office. The hiring team will discuss the policy and role eligibility with you during the recruitment process.
