Are you an experienced Planning Manager looking to step into a role where your influence extends far beyond the programme? This opportunity places you at the centre of a landmark infrastructure scheme in the Sussex region, working with a globally recognised organisation delivering complex, high-value projects.

From early-stage feasibility to full-scale construction delivery, no two programmes are the same. You’ll be exposed to a diverse technical landscape including civil engineering, MEP, sustainability, specialist engineering, and value-led construction — all while playing a key role in defining how projects are planned, governed, and delivered.

This is not a role for someone who simply maintains schedules. Here, your expertise will shape delivery strategy, improve certainty, and elevate performance across multi-disciplinary teams.

Your Role

As Planning Manager, you’ll act as a strategic leader within the project environment, setting standards, driving innovation, and ensuring planning excellence across major programmes. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Leading, developing, and mentoring a high-performing planning team
  • Challenging conventional planning practices and embedding smarter, more efficient methodologies
  • Creating and managing fully integrated programmes using Primavera P6
  • Ensuring alignment between schedules, cost plans, and construction budgets
  • Producing clear, robust programme, governance, and performance reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Translating complex programme information into clear insights for diverse audiences
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance predictability and delivery confidence
What You’ll Bring

Desirable: Experience on geotechnical or ground engineering projects
