Head of Project Development - Onshore Wind - Germany

Location: Germany (Flexible/Hybrid)

Client: Leading Renewable Energy Developer

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and fast-growing IPP seeking an experienced Head of Project Development to lead their onshore wind portfolio in Germany.

This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for project strategy, team management, and execution across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full project development cycle (site origination to RtB)
• Oversee and grow a team of project developers, GIS experts and land acquisition managers
• Drive development strategy, timelines, and stakeholder engagement
• Ensure compliance with German planning and permitting regulations (e.g. BImSchG)
• Represent the company in key external meetings

Profile:

• 7+ years of project development experience, ideally in onshore wind
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Deep knowledge of German permitting frameworks for onshore wind
• Fluent in German (C1+) and English
• Strategic and hands-on mindset
