Main Purpose :

Marketing the company’s freight and warehousing services, generating sales leads. Analyzing client requirements and preparing suitable commercial offers, ensuring profitability. Working in close coordination with the customer services and operations teams for planning and contract administration matters. Assisting the General Manager with analysis and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities; Key Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Business development :
  • Generating sales leads through prospecting and cold calling.
  • Marketing the company’s freight forwarding and warehousing services.
  • Focusing on developing the freight forwarding book for the company in the Middle East region.
  • Developing and managing key clients, shipping lines, and other vendor relationships.
  • Pricing offers to customers and competitively sourcing sub-contracted activities such as freight.
  • Preparing business presentations, quotations, and agreements.
  • Contract administration / service delivery :
  • Communicating client requirements to customer service and operations teams.
  • Planning operations with relevant teams for new contracts or orders with special requirements.
  • Supporting the customer service team in managing shipment files, logistics coordination, and invoicing.
  • Validating and updating service agreements as needed.
  • Addressing customer complaints and assisting in claims management.
  • Reports and presentations :
  • Tracking and reporting container freight volumes and profitability.
  • Providing weekly updates on business development activities.
  • Assisting the Business Development Manager with various commercial and reporting tasks.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business Management or Logistics is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of sales experience in the UAE warehousing and logistics industry.
  • Ability to organize facts and figures to develop budgets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • UAE Driving License - Mandatory.
